Thanks to my FAVORITE son-in-law I had the incredible opportunity to attend the Blazer/ Rockets playoff game last night. I was originally supposed to watch Ethan while Danielle and Matt went to the game but poor Matt has been sick for the last few days and didn't feel up to going. In keeping with my efforts to be a good mother-in-law I felt it my duty to come to his aid, thus necessitating my making use of one of these........
As you can plainly see here, even as we waited for the Max train that would deliver us to the game I was still feeling really bad over the unfortunate turn of events.
Here is a pregame shot of a guy playing the national anthem on his saxaphone. AMAZING talent. It gave me the goosebumps just listening to him. Lined up on the far side are the Blazers and on this side you can see the backs of the Rockets.
As soon as he finished the lights come on and both teams head off the court to prepare for their "grand entrance"....
This picture doesn't begin to do justice to the atmosphere and noise level as the Blazer players were introduced. The crowd was wild with excitement, not to mention the flashing/ swirling lights, the loud music and the colored smoke you can see over in the far right corner which was totally fun to watch them emerge from.
A "sea" of happy Blazer fans... the whole game was SOOOO much fun!!!! We yelled. We clapped. We cheered. With their backs to the wall and the season on the line, our team came through for us. They played their hearts out. Brandon Roy was feeling so poorly with flu-like symptoms that he missed practice the day before and they had to give him an IV before the game started. You are the best BRoy!
What a game to remember..... Final score: 88-77
Now the moment has come to-
Yes it's going to be hard but you can do it Blazers. Why, you say?
Because we BELIEVE in our team!!!
"Portland in Seven" (keep repeating over and over)

You crack me up. I can see the remorse written all over your face. You are definitely so worried over Matt's health. You did the right thing, stepping in there like that and 'helping' them out. Way to go! It's a tough job, but somebody has to do it.
oh man...krista she was definitely feeling bad about matt being sick. besides the fact that i think you poisoned him, ;), it was lots of fun going with you to the game! Always good to have a girls night once in awhile! :):):)
